Message	Similar to propane and water injection, people inject alcohol to cool intake temps and fight detonation. It acts just like adding additional injectors pumping higher octane fuel. Propane works similarly but it cools better since it is kept as a liquid in the tank and undergoes such a large pressure decrease when it enters the intake tract.
